Get inspired by the many options of BO.Lash and get ready to become an expert who can take care of eye shine and false eyelashes.

We know two basic types of eyelash extensions, namely the ONE to ONE method or SMART VOLUME.

· Eyelash extensions One by one is a treatment in which artificial eyelash extensions are attached one after the other to the natural eyelash (classic eyelash extension).

· Eyelash extensions SMART Volume is an eyelash treatment in which several eyelash extensions are attached to one natural eyelash. People often talk about 2D, 3D, 4D, etc. eyelash extension treatments, but the official name is SMART Volume. The number of Ds represents the amount of eyelash extensions that will be installed on the natural eyelash (volume eyelash extension).

False eyelashes are synthetic, permanently curled hairs. False eyelash extensions are waterproof and easy to apply and attach to natural lashes with glue and tweezers. The more natural lashes a client has, the more false eyelash extensions can be applied to natural lashes.

When extending lashes, it is very important to use a quality glue that stays soft, flexible and does not damage natural lashes. Also important is the drying time of the glue which is 0.3 seconds and the glue that dries less quickly in 0.5 seconds (professional glue or eyelash glue). If you do not have much experience in the treatment with artificial eyelashes, we recommend an adhesive that dries less quickly, so that you will have more time to place the lashes in the right place and prevent the formation of knots.

PROCEDURE FOR THE MANUFACTURE OF ARTIFICIAL EYELASHES

Before you start with eyelash extensions, you need to consider several aspects. Pay attention to the space and equipment with which you perform eyelash extensions. It is important to prepare the client for eyelash extensions, so explain to them step by step what will happen during the eyelash extension treatment. That way, the customer knows what to expect, and you reduce the chance of the customer blinking - blinking. This is an automatic reaction when something unexpected happens on your face.

TYPES OF EXTENSIONS FOR ARTIFICIAL EYELASHES

Eyelash extensions (classic or volume) are available in different shapes, thicknesses and sizes. The choice of a certain curvature of the lashes (J, B, C, D) depends mainly on the effect you want to achieve by lengthening the lashes. Each person has different lashes and it is correct to take into account the natural condition of the client's lashes and choose the appropriate length, thickness and curvature of the false lashes.

  • With J and B curvature, the base of the lashes is straight, curved at the tip, gives a very natural look, they achieve greater volume and length (not recommended for clients with straight or downward-pointing lashes).
  • At C curvature, the lashes look like natural lashes that we curled with an eyelash curler. They achieve a natural as well as dramatic look (recommended for clients with straight or slightly curled lashes).
  • D curvature is also the most curved shape of lashes, with which we achieve a beautiful dramatic effect (recommended for natural and downward-pointing natural lashes).

Different lengths of false eyelashes

Eyelashes 8 to 14 mm long and 0.07 to 0.15 mm thick are available, this selection is based on the most common sizes of natural lashes. The standard eye with many thick lashes has natural lashes with a maximum length of 13 mm

  • 8/9 mm - short → inner / outer corners of the eye
  • 10 mm - medium → Create an inner / outer corner of the eye
  • 11 mm - medium → Create an inner / outer corner of the eye
  • 12 mm - long → Create a length in the center of the eye
  • 13 mm - long → Creates a length in the center of the eye
  • 14 mm - long → Creates a length in the center of the eye

When a client decides to lengthen their lashes, it is important that you do not place too long extensions on your natural lashes. You need to consider the load that natural lashes have to withstand. This is always done after consulting with the client so that the client always goes home satisfied.

The length and thickness of each individual are different.

Different eye shapes

By using false eyelash extensions, you can create different looks with different techniques. It is very important to look at the natural lashes and the position of the client's eyes. From this, you can determine what length and thickness you should use to lengthen your lashes.

Here are some examples you can show your customers to help them decide what kind of look they want to create.

Tips and tricks

• Place the false eyelash extension on the natural lash and not on the skin.

• Do not place the artificial eyelash extension on a child's eyelash.

• Keep a distance of at least 0.5 mm to 1 mm from the lash line. Do not place eyelash extensions along the lash line, but 0.5 mm to 1 mm longer than the natural lashes.

• Do not rub the glue on the eye care patch. The glue emits vapors that can ignite the customer's eyes.

• Note that the humidity in the eyelash extension room should be between 45% and 55% and the temperature between 20 and 24 degrees.

• In summer, the client sweats faster, so it is possible that false eyelash extensions loosen faster.

• More hair falls out in the fall, so it may be necessary for the client to return to the false eyelash correction (refill) earlier in the fall.

• It is important to shake the adhesive well in advance, as the cyanoacrylate in the adhesive must be well distributed. Shake the adhesive container with a lid and push the cleaning cloth onto the adhesive spout to prevent spillage.

• Replace the adhesive on the label within 60 minutes or as soon as it becomes viscous.

• Label the adhesive packaging with the date of opening. The adhesive is usable for a maximum of 2 months from opening.

• Use disposable products for the most hygienic work possible.

• After treatment, do not use oil-based products such as makeup remover, day and night cream or any makeup.

• When the client returns to aftercare and you see that the eyelash extensions are eventually burned, this may be related to overheating the hair or lighting a cigarette. Explain this to the customer (give her a hint).

• It is recommended for the eyelash stylist to take occasional walks during the treatment to relax the client’s eyes.

• To prevent eye cream from coming into contact with eyelash extensions at night, clients are advised to apply the cream one hour before bedtime so that it can be absorbed.

• Apply eyelash extensions to one of the lower lashes and then to the upper lashes.

Fake eyelashes - the manufacturing process

EXTENSION WITH EYELASHES

  • First, disinfect your hands and utensils and tools with a hygienic gel and a suitable disinfectant.
  • Shake well before using Foam Remover. Apply a small amount of cleansing foam to the Foam Brush and make gentle circular motions to clean the area around the eyes (eyelashes / eyebrows). Clean the entire area around the eyes, including the upper and lower eyelids, where the Eye Patch is installed.
  • After cleansing the eyes (eyelashes-eyebrows) with Remover Foam, the second step is cleansing with Clenaning Lotion. Apply a small amount of Cleansing Lotion to a cellulose-free fiber-free pad and clean your eyes (eyelashes / eyebrows) to remove makeup residue. For better adhesion of the preparations, it is recommended to clean the eye, including the upper and lower eyelids.
  • Make sure the skin around the eyes is clean and dry. Hold the nutrient pad firmly with both hands. Remove the back to reveal the sticky edge. Place a pad under the eyes between the lower part and the eyelid to cover the lower lashes.
  •  Tear off the required amount of Medical Adhesive Tape. The strap is designed to lift and secure the upper eyelid and fix the pad if necessary. Apply the tape to areas where the nutrient pad does not reach so that all lower lashes are covered. Make sure the client has their eyes open and looking up. To make the tape less sticky, press it a few times on a towel or palm before attaching the tape to the lower lashes.
  • Use a mascara brush to comb your natural lashes nicely to determine the length and thickness of your lashes. Make a note of the sizes on the Eyelash Pallet form.
  •  Apply Primer (primer) to the lashes. Use Micro Brushes to apply Primer to natural lashes. Apply enough Primer to two Micro Brushes and apply it carefully on the lashes. Place one brush under the lashes, the other on the top of the lashes and then apply the Primer evenly on the lashes. Use Primer with Micro Brushes for hygienic reasons.
  •  Take the tweezers with which you will install the eyelash extensions and place the right size eyelash extensions on the Eyelash Palette, then place the adhesive sticker on the eyelash palette. The straight black line and white background of the palette make it easier to work on eyelash extensions.
  • Unscrew the lid from the glue and hold the cellulose pad - a fleece-proof cotton ball around the opening. If you are using it for the first time, shake it a few seconds before opening and using it. Apply a drop of glue to the adhesive sticker attached to the lash palette. Always clean the opening for the glue with a cellulose pad - a fleece-proof cotton ball immediately after use and also clean the cap.
  •  Use two tweezers for eyelash extension treatment. Extend the lashes with a tip, and apply an eyelash extension with angular tweezers. Once you have separated the natural lashes with pointed tweezers, use angular tweezers to take the artificial lash (volumetric lash with lashes or classic one-on-one). Dip eyelash extensions in glue before placing them on natural lashes.
  • Hold the air blower close to the lashes and squeeze it gently. This shortens the curing time of the adhesive and prevents the adhesive from sticking when installing the next lash extensions.
  •  Re-use the comb brush to check for knots. Finally, remove the nutrient pad.

  EYELASH REMOVAL:

  •  Use two Cleaning Brushes or Microbrushes and apply a small amount of Adhesive Remover Gel. Gently apply the glue remover gel to the lashes using the Brush in the upward direction (1 at the top and 1 below) so that the lashes and glue are completely covered with the adhesive remover gel.
  • Allow two minutes for the removal gel to soak into the glue and then clean the lashes in the same way and remove the false lashes.
  • After removing the false lashes, clean the natural lashes with Cleansing Lotion and Saline.

Eyelash care after treatment:

• Do not moisturize the eyes for the first 24 hours;

• Do not use waterproof mascara all the time;

• Do not rub your eyes;

• Always dry your eyes after cleaning your eyelash extensions;

• Do not use oil-based makeup removers at all times;

• Do not use oil cream throughout the period;

• Never remove eyelash extensions yourself;

• Use a mascara brush to brush eyelash extensions both in the morning and in the evening;

• Do not delay too long with the correction (refill) of the lashes, due to your own lashes, no later than three weeks.

Each person loses the number (5 to 8) of lashes every day. Therefore, further treatment after two to three weeks is recommended. Refilling SMART Volume eyelash extensions is different from applying a new set of eyelash extensions. This technique is considered separately.

What to do if something goes wrong with eyelash extensions:

• The eyelash extension is at an angle: when the eyelash is very tilted, it should be removed. Remove the eyelash extension with two tweezers. Grab the natural lashes with one pair of tweezers and the extension of the lashes with the other tweezers and slowly pull them apart, without force.

• Knot in artificial eyelash extensions: eyelash extensions can stick together and start to knot, this can be due to:

• Waiting too long for re-correction (refill)

• Use of oil-based products

• The knot should be removed with two tweezers. Gently squeeze the glue with tweezers. You will see that the glue has loosened. Now with both tweezers you can gently, without force, pull the extension and the natural lash

• Grown eyelash extensions: Grown eyelash extensions should be removed immediately with two tweezers. Grasp the overgrown eyelash extension with one tweezers and the natural eyelash with the other tweezers. Then gently and effortlessly pull the natural eyelash and eyelash extensions in the opposite direction. It is important to do this very gently and effortlessly to prevent damage or breakage of the natural lashes and to ensure that the client is subjected to painless treatment.
